THE AUTUMN BAR/TEA CART

Project type: Professional; for Gunava Design
A double purpose bar/tea cart that is easy to move and functional. I worked on the design of this piece with the brief from the principal designer for it to be sleek, and incorporate some functional details into the structure. The final design features a removable tray and a wine glass holder integrated with the design.

For the final design, the removable tray was simplified due to budgetary constraints. We also went with Option B for the fixing of the handle. The trays were made on the CNC, as well as the crossings. The legs were made on the lathe.
The handle is fixed to the legs with a CNCd brass flat bent around the leg and bolted in place.
We made two versions, one in local Acacia wood and the other in the same wood but flamed to make it black

THE SECOND PIECE: CURRENTLY IN PROCESS
The second time we made the cart, we decided to go with option A of fixing the handle. The proportions were also changed to make it taller and narrower.
